Gabriel Castaño have been manufacturers of Iberian hams since 1929. Five generations to create an artisanal acorn-fed Iberian ham of the highest quality.
Their animals feed in the field in freedom, from 18 months to two years. Their diet consists of grass and acorns. Both factors are determinant of the quality of the pigs, and therefore, of their hams.
It is a degree of differentiation of the producers who make the authentic Iberian acorn-fed ham. They carry out the curing of the Iberian ham without any type of additive, so we are talking about 100% natural hams.
The factory is located in Cumbres Mayores, municipality of Huelva. It is wedged between the Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche. This situation gives it certain qualities, both climatic and altitude and humidity, which make it an ideal place for curing Iberian ham.
